Join a sub-committee and make a difference.
ISOMER needs its members to take an active role in the society. We need our members to participate in managing different aspects of the community’s interests; to support events and to participate in them.
By joining a sub-committee you can help on a regular basis. Below is a list of sub-committees that manage specific projects or functions. If you are interested in joining one of them, simply contact Masjid Imam.
Technology and Communications Sub-committee:
- Website management
- Advertising materials
- Articles for the website or newsletter
- Newsletter and members correspondence
- Sound/Video Recording and Telecommunications
Building Sub-committee:
- Finalise the mosque expansion plans.
- Obtain approval from the council and relevant parties.
- Raise funds to build the new mosque and the new facilities.
- Manage the building project.
Facility Maintenance Sub-committee:
- General Upkeep if Isomer Facilities.
- Hall Maintenance Obtain approval from the council and relevant parties.
- Mosque Maintenance
Ladies Sub-committee:
- Organise events and activities for the ladies.
- Provide organisational support for general community events.
- Manage the Friday Food Stall.
Youth Sub-committee:
- Coordinate education forums for the youth.
- Organise camps, activities and events for the youth.
- Coordinate leadership training for the youth.
- Manage youth issues.
Sunday school Sub-committee:
- Provide Islamic education for beginners and advanced students.
- Manage the daily operations of the school.
- Comply with government regulations and ISOMER guidelines.
Janaza Burial Service Sub-committee:
- Manage the daily operations of the service.
- Enhance the service to better meet the needs of the deceased family.
- Promote the service more effectively so that the wider community may benefit from access to burial services according to Islamic law.
- Comply with government regulations and ISOMER guidelines.
